Critical coupling and Δϕ2 in three-dimensional ϕ4 theory
Stephan Durr, Tolga S. H. Kiel
Abstract
We consider the ϕ4 theory with ϕ(x)∈R in three Euclidean dimensions. For a variety of self-couplings λ, the critical (bare) parameter μ0c2(λ) is determined where the lattice-regulated system changes from the symmetric phase to the broken phase. Next, we send the box volume to infinity and switch to a universal scheme; this yields μc2(λ) for each simulated λ. Finally, a continuum extrapolation gives fc=λ0 λ2/μc2(λ), and we find fc = 18.808(64)stat(45)sys = 18.808(78)tot. In addition, Δϕ2c/λ= -0.00303(12)stat(12)sys = -0.00303(17)tot is determined in the combined continuum and infinite-volume limit.
