Abstract
We investigate the full statistics of entropy production in coherent mesoscopic conductors beyond the weak-coupling regime. Using the inside-outside perspective and the Landauer-Büttiker scattering framework, we relate entropy production to the full counting statistics of particle transport and show that the corresponding cumulant-generating function satisfies the fluctuation symmetry independently of the coupling strength. We obtain closed analytical expressions for the cumulant-generating function in the weak- and strong-coupling limits, enabling a detailed characterization of entropy production distributions and higher-order cumulants. These cumulants reveal distinct signatures of resonant transport and coherent fermionic partitioning. While coupling-induced broadening substantially modifies the transport statistics, the fluctuation symmetry imposed by microscopic reversibility remains preserved in the long-time limit.
