Magnon Klein paradox
D. Wang
Abstract
By considering the energy transport of spin wave, we show that, like the electron Klein paradox, there is no magnon Klein paradox for reflectivity. Heuristically, this can be understood according to the fact that, even if the ground state is unstable, any energy-carrying wave cannot have greater-than-one reflectivity off a passive interface, which will violate the conservation of energy. The magnon Klein paradox discussed in the literature is derived from assigning a wrong sign to the transmitted spin wave.
