Global transfer systems and endopurity of subgroups
Scott Balchin, Miguel Barrero
Abstract
Global transfer systems are combinatorial objects that parametrize intermediate levels of structures and properties in globally equivariant homotopy theory. In this paper we study the lattice of global transfer systems, expanding beyond the case of abelian groups which was computed by the second author. The main result is a proof that the irreducible elements of the lattice of global transfer systems are strictly controlled by subgroups of groups which we refer to as endopure. From the irreducible elements one can recover the whole lattice, and studying these endopure subgroups leads us to a wide range of new phenomena and computations.
