Hamiltonian Analysis of the Newer General Relativity

Abstract
We present a systematic Hamiltonian analysis of the five-parameter class of theories known as Newer General Relativity. Quadratic nonmetricity theories of this type can be divided into nine types according to the structure of their primary constraints. After reviewing the framework of symmetric teleparallel gravity, we derive the ADM formulation of Newer General Relativity, discuss the existing classification and perform the Hamiltonian formulation of the theory. For each type, we compute the conjugate momenta, identify the primary constraints, and construct both the canonical and primary Hamiltonians. We then determine the constraint structure and analyze the resulting physical degrees of freedom in each type.
