Separating Fermion and Gauge Resonances with Species-Dependent Lightcones in Warped Geometry
Lisa Randall, Marcos Riojas
Abstract
Extra-dimensional flavor models generally tie together the mass scales of gauge and fermion Kaluza--Klein modes. We show how species-dependent five-dimensional lightcones, which can be generated, for example, by a simple scalar profile, can separate these scales while preserving four-dimensional Lorentz invariance and any proposed extra-dimensional flavor structure. In two illustrative models on stabilized backgrounds, right-handed quark partners lie at 6.6--12 TeV with 30 TeV KK gluons, or a 5.5 TeV gluon lies below fermion partners above 10 TeV. We compare with deconstructed and three-brane models.
