Abstract
Architected materials are increasingly used to implement topological dynamics, yet realizing the gauge fields and symmetries that protect the topology with purely passive elements remains the central practical challenge. Here we turn a previously proposed theoretical strategy into an integrated platform that accepts a theoretical model as input and returns a passive acoustic metamaterial with identical dynamics. We demonstrate it experimentally on the Hofstadter model at θ= 2π/3, fabricating a spin-Chern insulator whose two sectors carry Chern numbers Cs = 1, and observe the predicted helical edge states.
