Abstract
The neutrinophilic two-Higgs-doublet model (ν2HDM) represents one of the most economical extensions of the Standard Model (SM) while still giving rise to a rich phenomenology. In this work, we carry out a full tree-level and one-loop matching of this ultraviolet completion onto the SM Effective Field Theory extended with right-handed neutrinos (νSMEFT), including all operators up to mass dimension six. This is achieved by integrating out the heavy scalar doublet at a scale well above the electroweak scale. For the matching procedure, we employ the functional method in combination with the naive dimensional regularization and modified minimal subtraction schemes. After converting from the Green's basis to the minimal, non-redundant Warsaw-extended basis, the effects of high-scale new physics are encoded in the Wilson coefficients of both physical and evanescent operators in the νSMEFT. These coefficients are given in terms of the ν2HDM parameters prior to spontaneous symmetry breaking. Our final expressions at the high-energy matching scale are provided as ancillary files on https://github.com/dufewe/v2HDM-to-vSMEFTGitHub. This setup forms the foundation for forthcoming systematic and global analyses of the ν2HDM parameter space using effective field theory techniques.
