The Stringy Origin of Kerr Multipoles
Maurizio Firrotta
Abstract
We construct a new family of exact open and closed bosonic string solutions in flat spacetime that reproduce the root-Kerr and Kerr multipoles at every fixed multipole order in the large-mass and large-angular-momentum limit. These solutions provide explicit classical data for identifying associated quantum string states and testing their correspondence with rotating black holes.
