Holomorphic flexibility properties of strongly commuting varieties
Stefano Giannini
Abstract
We study holomorphic flexibility properties of the strongly commuting variety of a complex semisimple algebraic group G. We prove that the smooth locus of the strongly commuting variety of G is Oka-1. We also prove that the smooth locus of the commuting variety of a semisimple complex Lie algebra is Oka-1, and that it contains a Zariski dense open subset which is algebraically elliptic.
