Abstract
Revisiting a duality model in which dual QCD becomes hydrodynamics, or the dual gluon is a fluid, allows us to understand some of the mysteries of QCD, such as the behavior of the quark--gluon plasma (QGP) as a perfect fluid and gluon saturation in the structure function at high energies. This old-fashioned duality converts the gluon action into hydrodynamics described by the 2-form stream function Waμν with eight colors. All interactions then become current--current interactions of the Nambu--Jona-Lasinio type. The resulting theory admits a strong-coupling expansion about the fluid. This can provide a third method to supplement perturbative QCD and lattice QCD.
