Nonequilibrium Spin-Glass Order in a Long-Range Quantum Ising Glass and Its Sensitivity to Noise
Giuseppe D'Auria, Alessandro Silva
Abstract
We study spin-glass order after a transverse-field quench in a long-range quantum Ising glass. The diagonal-ensemble Edwards-Anderson order coincides at the no-quench and zero-field endpoints, yet in between cold shells overshoot it and hot shells undershoot it. This stems from a competition in correlation space between the rigidity of populated eigenstates and the spread of their pair patterns. Under weak longitudinal dephasing the zero-field endpoint is exactly pinned while the characteristic finite-quench response fades, giving a self-referenced noise probe for quantum spin simulators.
