Energy deposition due to neutrino pair annhilation near rotating neutron stars
Abstract
General relativistic effects have been shown to increase the energy deposition rate due to the process e+e- in supernovae and neutron stars. In this paper we study the effect of inclusion of the rotation of the star in the general relativistic treatment. We show that inclusion of rotation results in a reduction in the heating rate as compared to the no rotation case.
