Electromagnetic (versus fireball) model of GRBs

Abstract
We briefly review the electromagnetic model of Gamma Ray Bursts and then discuss how various models account for high prompt polarization. We argue that if polarization is confirmed at a level Π≥ 10% the internal shock model is excluded.
