Effect of Strong Quantizing Magnetic Field on the Transport Properties of Dense Stellar Plasma
Abstract
The transport properties of dense stellar electron-proton plasma is studied following an exact relativistic formalism in presence of strong quantizing magnetic field. The variation of transport coefficients with magnetic field are found to be insensitive for the field strengths ≤ 1017G, beyond which all of them abruptly go to zero. As a consequence, the electron-proton plasma behaves like a superfluid insulator in presence of ultra-strong magnetic field.
