Abstract
The spin-1/2 transverse XY chain with correlated disorder may exhibit the nonzero averaged transverse magnetization at zero averaged transverse field. We discuss this peculiarity connected with asymmetry in the density of states and induced by the correlated disorder analysing the moments of the density of states.
