Measurement of the Branching Fraction for B+- --> chic0 K+-
B. Aubert
Abstract
We present preliminary results for the measurement of the branching fraction of the decay B+- -> chic0 K+- from a sample of 75 million BB pairs collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory at SLAC. The chic0 meson is reconstructed through its two-body decays to pi+ pi- and K+ K-. We measure BR(B+- -> chic0 K+-) * BR(chic0 -> pi+ pi-) = (1.08 +- 0.35 (stat) +- 0.10 (syst))*10-6 and BR(B+- -> chic0 K+-) * BR(chic0 -> K+ K-) = (1.48 +- 0.44 (stat) +- 0.17 (syst)) * 10-6. Using the known values for the chic0 decays branching fractions, we combined these results to obtain BR(B+- -> chic0 K+-) = (2.4 +- 0.7) * 10-4.
