Measurements of (2S) decays into φ π0, φ η, φ η', ω η, and ω η'

Abstract

Decays of the (2S) into Vector plus Pseudoscalar meson final states have been studied with 14 million (2S) events collected with the BESII detector. Branching fractions of (2S) φη, φηp, and ωηp, and upper limits of (2S) φπz and ωη are obtained: B((2S) φη) = (3.3 1.1 0.5) × 10-5, B((2S) φηp) = (3.1 1.4 0.7)× 10-5, and B((2S) ωηp) = (3.2+2.4-2.0 0.7) × 10-5; and B((2S) φπz) < 0.40 × 10-5, and B((2S) ωη) < 3.1 × 10-5 at the 90 % C.L.. These results are used to test the pQCD ``12% rule''.
