Charm from Hyperonsin the Future: Fermilab Experiment 781
Michael Procario
Abstract
Recent results from CERN experiment WA89 have shown that charmed baryons and particularly charmed-strange baryons have a significant cross section in Σ- beams. Fermilab experiment 781, which is currently under construction, will utilize this fact to pursue a broad program of high statistics studies of charmed baryons in the next Fermilab fixed target run.
