Branching Fractions for (2S) to γ η' and γ η
Abstract
We report the first measurements of the branching fractions: B((2S) -> γ η') = (1.54 0.31 0.23) x 10-4 and B((2S) -> γ η) = (0.53 0.31 0.08) x 10-4. The (2S) to γ η' result is consistent with expectations of a model that considers the possibility of η' - η mixing. The ratio of the (2S) to γ η' and (2S) to γ η rates is used to determine the pseudoscalar octet-singlet mixing angle.
