Study of the Hadronic Decays of c States
Abstract
Hadronic decays of the P-wave spin-triplet charmonium states cJ (J=0,1,2) are studied using a sample of (2S) decays collected by the BES detector operating at the BEPC storage ring. Branching fractions for the decays c1 going to Ks0 K+ π- + c.c., c0 going to Ks0 Ks0, c2 going to Ks0 Ks0, c0 going to φ φ, c2 going to φ φ and cJ going to K+ K- K+ K- are measured for the first time, and those for cJ going to π+ π- π+ π-, $ cJ going to π+ π- K+ K-, cJ going to π+ π- p p and cJ going to 3(π+ π-) are measured with improved precision. In addition, we determine the masses of the c0 and ηc to be M_c0=3414.1 0.6(stat) 0.8 (sys) MeV and Mηc=2975.8 3.9(stat) 1.2 (sys) MeV.
