Effects of the Fourth Generation on MBd,s in B0- B0 Mixing
Abstract
We investigate the mass differences MBd,s in the mixing B0d,s- B0d,s with a new up-like quark t in the sequential fourth generation model. We give the basic formulae for MBd,s in this model and obtain two kinds of numerical results of MBs which is the function of mt. We find that one of our results can satisfy the present experimental low bound of MBs. We also get the constraints of the fourth generation CKM factor V*t'bVt'd, which is the function of t', from the experimental measurements of MBd. Thus, MBd,s provide a possible test of the fourth generation and give a signal of the new physics.
