Spin-5/2 resonance effects in a coupled channel nucleon resonance analysis

Abstract

Spin- resonance contributions in pion-nucleon scattering are investigated within the coupled channel K-matrix approach for c.m. energies up to s= 2 GeV. All previously studied π N, 2π N, η N, K , K , and ω N final states are included. We find a significant improvement of 2 in almost all channels by inclusion of the spin- states. The obtained coupling parameters are discussed.
