Abstract

A long-lived very light pseudoscalar boson would favor lepton flavor violating transitions of charged leptons. Its implications on the li --> lj γγ, and li --> lj e+ e- transitions are investigated. Assuming 2 me < mϕ<mμ, it is found that the inequality B(li --> lj γγ)<B(li --> lj e+ e-) is hold. The experimental constraints on the decays li --> lj γ, li --> lj lk lk, and li --> lj γγare used to bound the ϕli lj couplings.
