B->rho pi decays and final state phases
Abstract
Using the isospin analysis, the fact that penguin is pure Delta I=1/2 transition, the unitarity for tree graph and C-invariance of strong interactions, it is shown that deltat=0=tildedeltat, r-0=tr0-,delta-0-delta0-=pm pi, 2trfrf (δ f-δbarf)=(rf2+t2rbarf2)-r-02, where delta 's are final state phases and r's are penguin to tree ratios defined in the text. Using the factorization for tree graph as input and the experimental data, we have obtained the following bounds on rf,rbarf, deltaf and deltabarf:0.11leq rfleq 0.21,0.18leq rbarfleq 0.30; 11circleq deltaf≤ 57circ,23circleq deltabarfleq 90circ for the case zf,barf=cos alpha cos deltaf,barf<0. For zf<0 and zf>0, we obtain the following bounds for rbarf and deltabarf:0.14leq rbarfleq 0.46; 90circleq deltabarfleq 170circ. From experimental data, for the decays B-->rho -pi 0(rho 0pi -) we get epsilon-0=0.28pm 0.10,epsilon0-=0.51pm 0.10, fracACP-0ACP0-=-0.8 0.1 i.e. ACP-0 and ACP0- have opposite sign, where 1+epsilon0-,0-=fracleft| T-0,0-+C0-,-0right|left| T-0,0-|. In the naive quark model the above values imply a2/a1=0.39 0.14 and a2/a1=0.37 0.07 consistent with each other.
