Salient Features of High-Energy Multiparticle Distributions Learned from Exact Solutions of 1-d Ising Model
Ling-Lie Chau, Ding-Wei Huang
Abstract
We have derived explicit expressions in the 1-d Ising model for multiplicity distributions Pξ(n) and factorial moments Fq(ξ). We identify the salient features of Pξ(n) that lead to scaling, Fq(ξ)=q[F2], and universality. These results compare well with the presently available high-energy data of pp and e+e- reactions. We point out the important features that should be studied in future higher-energy experiments of multiparticle productions in pp, pp, ep, e+e-, and NN. We also make comments on comparisons with KNO and negative-binomial distributions.
