Twist-Four Distributions in a Transversely-Polarized Nucleon and the Drell-Yan Process
Pevrez Hoodbhoy, Xiangdong Xi
Abstract
The twist-four quark and gluon distributions in a transversely polarized nucleon are identified and relations among them are discussed by using QCD equations of motion. Their contribution, at the order of O ( 1/Q2 ), to the Drell-Yan cross section in transversely polarized nucleon-nucleon collisions is calculated.
