Parity Violation in Top Quark Pair Production at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider

Abstract

The leading weak corrections to the production of top quark pairs via qq tt in pp collisions are evaluated. The chromo-anapole form factor of the top quark and effects of parity violation are studied in the Standard Model (SM) and the Minimal Supersymmetric Model (MSSM). The parity violation effect in qq g tt from the SM weak corrections is found to be very small. In the MSSM, the effects of parity violation can be enhanced for β v2/v1 > mt/mb.
