On Multiple Instanton-antiinstanton Configurations

Abstract

We show why and how the I I valley trajectory commonly used in the literature so far is in fact unsatisfactory. A better I I valley is suggested. We also give analytic expressions for the multiple instanton-antiinstanton configurations in the pure Yang-Mills theory. These formulas make it possible to go beyond the dilute gas approximation and calculate the multi-body interactions among instantons and antiinstantons.
