(2230) is likely to be a glueball
Abstract
On the basis of the recent results of (2230)→ π+π-, p p and (2230)→ K+K-,~KSKS, measured by the BES Collaboration in J/ radiative decays, combined with the PS185 experiment of p p→ (2230)→ K K, we argue that because of its very narrow partial decay widths to ππ and K K ( less than 1~MeV ), its large production rate in J/ radiative decays, and its flavor- symmetric couplings to ππ and K K, the (2230) is very likely to be a JPC=(even)++ glueball.
