F2/xG(x,Q2) Ratio at Small x and the Role of the Contribution from Infrared Region

Abstract

We consider the light quark electroproduction cross section and show that the contribution coming from the infrared (qT<300\, MeV) region is not negligible. It changes the F2(x,Q2)/xG(x,Q2) ratio by 20-30\% (or even more) for small x and Q2 4\, GeV2.
