VMD description of $\tau \to (\omega,\ \phi) \pi^- \nu_{\tau}$ decays and the $\omega-\phi$ mixing angle

Abstract

Using the vector meson dominance model we get predictions for the Cabibbo-favored $\tom$ and $\tphi$ decays. We show how the measurements of these two decays can provide information on the nature of the violation of the OZI rule.
