Phenomenology of New Baryons with Charm and Strangeness

Abstract

The CLEO Collaboration recently has announced the discovery of an excited charmed and strange baryon. We estimate the expected width of this new member of the Xic family. We discuss the phenomenology of the excited csq and css states, and consider what additional charmed baryons might be observable in the future. We point out that the final state Xic + K could be an interesting new channel to examine.
