Isospin Violation in Hadronic B-Decays
Abstract
I present two disparate examples of isospin violation in hadronic B-decays. In the first, the presence of 0-ω mixing in the decay B^0(ω)π+ π- permits the extraction of sgn( α), where α is the usual angle of the unitarity triangle, with minimal hadronic uncertainty. In the second, the presence of π0-η,η' mixing can obscure the extraction of 2α from an isospin analysis in Bππ decays.
