A Covariant Action for the Eleven Dimensional Superstring

Abstract
We suggest a super Poincaré invariant action for closed eleven dimensional superstring. The sector of physical variables xi, θa, θ a, with a, a=1...8 and xi the transverse part of the D=11 xμ coordinate is shown to possess free dynamics.
