Convex bodies with few faces
Keith Ball, Alain Pajor
Abstract
It is proved that if u1,…, un are vectors in Rk, k n, 1 p < ∞ and r = (1 k Σ n1 |ui|p)1 p then the volume of the symmetric convex body whose boundary functionals are u1,…, un, is bounded from below as |\ x∈ Rk \ | x,ui | 1 \ for every \ i\|1 k 1 r. An application to number theory is stated.
