On the Minimal Idempotents of Twisted Group Algebras of Cyclic 2-Groups

Abstract

For a field $K$ of the second kind with respect to 2 and of characteristic different from 2, we consider the decomposition of the binomials $x^{2^n} - a$ into a product of irreducible factors over $K$ and find the explicit form of the minimal idempotents of the twisted group algebra $K^t< g>$ of a cyclic 2-group $<g>$ over $K$.
