Thermodynamics of interacting entropy-corrected holographic dark energy in a non-flat FRW universe
physics.gen-phMubasher Jamil, Ahmad Sheykhi, M. Umar Farooq
A so-called "entropy-corrected holographic dark energy" (ECHDE), was recently proposed to explain the dark energy-dominated universe with the help of quantum corrections to the entropy-area relation in the setup of loop quantum cosmology. Using this new definition, we investigate its thermodynamical features including entropy and energy conservation.

A flavour gauge theory is observable only if the symmetry is broken at relatively low energies. The commonly used asynchronous bounded delay (ABD) network models assume a fixed bound on message delay. We propose a probabilistic network model, called asynchronous bounded expected delay (ABE) model. Instead of a strict bound, the ABE model requires only a bound on the expected message delay. Baryons of the type Qqqqq-bar (where Q = c,b and q = u,d,s quarks) forming anti-decapenta (15)-plets with spin-parity one half-plus are predicted on simple theoretical considerations. The lightest members of these multiplets are explicitly exotic doublets cuuds-bar, cudds-bar with mass about 2420 MeV, and buuds-bar, budds-bar with mass about 5750 MeV, only 1

Dark-field images are formed by small-angle scattering of x-ray photons. The small-angle scattering signal is particularly sensitive to structural variations and density fluctuation on a length scale of several ten to hundred nanometers, offering a new contrast mechanism to reveal subtle structural variation of object. In this paper, we derive a novel physic

The ability to reliably measure the energy of an excited hadron in Lattice QCD simulations hinges on the accurate determination of all lower-lying energies in the same symmetry channel. These include not only single-particle energies, but also the energies of multi-hadron states. This talk deals with the determination of multi-hadron energies in Lattice QCD.

Two-dimensional squarefree monomial ideals can be seen as the Stanley-Reisner ideals of graphs. The main results of this paper are combinatorial characterizations for the Cohen-Macaulayness of ordinary and symbolic powers of such an ideal in terms of the associated graph.

We have analyzed the spectral density of fluctuations of the energy flux through a mesoscopic constriction between two equilibrium reservoirs. It is shown that at finite frequencies, the fluctuating energy flux is not related to the thermal conductance of the constriction by the standard fluctuation-dissipation theorem, but contains additional noise. The mai

The electrodynamical formulae for the transition radiation are applied to the case of partons crossing the surface of the deconfined region in heavy ion collisions. The chromopermittivity is used in place of the dielectric permittivity. The corresponding energy-angular distributions of emitted gluons are discussed. They could be of interest at LHC energies.

The Horava - Lifshitz (HL) theory has recently attracted a lot of interest as a viable solution to some quantum gravity related problems and the presence of an effective cosmological constant able to drive the cosmic speed up. We show here that, in the weak field limit, the HL proposal leads to a modification of the gravitational potential because of two add

We carried out electrical resistivity experiments on (Yb,La)Rh2Si2 and on Yb(Rh,Ir)2Si2 under pressure and in magnetic fields. YbRh2Si2 exhibits a weak antiferromagnetic transition at atmospheric pressure with a Néel temperature of only T_N = 70 mK. By applying a small magnetic field T_N can be continuously suppressed to T=0 at B_c = 60 mT (B_|_c) driving th

Smart grid is an emerging technology which is able to control the power load via price signaling. The communication between the power supplier and power customers is a key issue in smart grid. Performance degradation like delay or outage may cause significant impact on the stability of the pricing based control and thus the reward of smart grid. Therefore, a

At a superconductor (S)-normal metal (N) junction pairing correlations can "leak-out" into the N region. This proximity effect [1, 2] modifies the system transport properties and can lead to supercurrent flow in SNS junctions [3]. Recent experimental works showed the potential of semiconductor nanowires (NWs) as building blocks for nanometre-scale de

In smart grid, a home appliance can adjust its power consumption level according to the realtime power price obtained from communication channels. Most studies on smart grid do not consider the cost of communications which cannot be ignored in many situations. Therefore, the total cost in smart grid should be jointly optimized with the communication cost. In

Of the four giant planets in the Solar system, only Jupiter and Neptune are currently known to possess swarms of Trojan asteroids - small objects that experience a 1:1 mean motion resonance with their host planet. In Lykawka et al. (2009), we performed extensive dynamical simulations, including planetary migration, to investigate the origin of the Neptunian

This paper studies two new kinds of affine Springer fibers that are adapted to the root valuation strata of Goresky-Kottwitz-MacPherson. In addition it develops various linear versions of Katz's Hodge-Newton decomposition.
