Generalized Toric Threefolds from Scattering Diagrams and Broken Lines

Abstract
We present an explicit and practical description of Generalized Toric Calabi--Yau threefolds, which are associated with five-brane webs ending on seven-branes, using scattering diagrams and broken lines, based on ideas from arXiv:2410.04714 [hep-th]. Local theta-function algebras and their transition maps give explicit affine charts for opened (resolved) webs, extending familiar toric constructions to non-toric situations. We give a physical interpretation of the deformation parameters, in the case of one or several 7-branes, and deduce behavior under Hanany-Witten transitions and changes of tesselation.
