Geometric dephasing of holes in two-dimensional nanostructures
Abstract
We will show that in zero magnetic field the rate of the geometric spin dephasing of a light hole in two-dimensional nanostructures is equal to the rate of the one-dimensional orientational relaxation of its crystal momentum. In contrast, this process is singularly ineffective for heavy holes.
