Direct Measurements of the Branching Fractions for the Semileptonic Decays D0 K-μ+νμ and D0 π-μ+νμ
BES Collaboration, M. Ablikim
Abstract
Based on the data sample of 33 pb-1 collected at and around 3.773 GeV with the BES-II detector at the BEPC collider, the absolute branching fractions for the semileptonic decays D0 K-μ+νμ and D0π-μ+νμ have been measured. In the system recoiling against 7584198341 singly tagged D0 mesons, 87.213.6 events for D0 K-μ+νμ and 9.37.4 events for D0π-μ+νμ are observed. These yield the absolute branching fractions to be BF(D0 K-μ+νμ)= (3.550.560.59)% and BF(D0π-μ+νμ)= (0.380.300.10)%. The measured branching fraction for D0 K-μ+νμ was previously used to determine the ratio Γ(D0 K-μ+νμ)/ Γ(D+ K0μ+νμ) combining the previously measured branching fraction for D+ K0μ+νμ by the BES Collaboration.
