Direct Measurements of the Branching Fractions for the Semileptonic Decays D0 K-μ+μ and D0 π-μ+μ
Abstract
Based on the data sample of 33 pb-1 collected at and around 3.773 GeV with the BES-II detector at the BEPC collider, the absolute branching fractions for the semileptonic decays D0 K-μ+μ and D0π-μ+μ have been measured. In the system recoiling against 7584198341 singly tagged D0 mesons, 87.213.6 events for D0 K-μ+μ and 9.37.4 events for D0π-μ+μ are observed. These yield the absolute branching fractions to be BF(D0 K-μ +μ)= (3.550.560.59)% and BF(D0π-μ+μ)= (0.380.300.10)%. The measured branching fraction for D0 K-μ +μ was previously used to determine the ratio (D0 K-μ+μ)/ (D+ K0μ+μ) combining the previously measured branching fraction for D+ K0μ+μ by the BES Collaboration.
