Numerous generalization techniques have been proposed for privacy preserving data publishing. Most existing techniques, however, implicitly assume that the adversary knows little about the anonymization algorithm adopted by the data publisher. Consequently, they cannot guard against privacy attacks that exploit various characteristics of the anonymization me

We derive sharp, local and dimension dependent hypercontractive bounds on the Markov kernel of a large class of diffusion semigroups. Unlike the dimension free ones, they capture refined properties of Markov kernels, such as trace estimates. They imply classical bounds on the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck semigroup and a dimensional and refined (transportation) Talagra

Holomorphic Morse inequalities and asymptotic cohomology groups: a tribute to Bernhard Riemann
math.CVJean-Pierre Demailly
The goal of this note is to present the potential relationships between certain Monge-Ampère integrals appearing in holomorphic Morse inequalities, and asymptotic cohomology estimates for tensor powers of line bundles, as recently introduced by algebraic geometers. The expected most general statements are still conjectural and owe a debt to Riemann's pio

In the case of a linear symplectic map A of the 2d-torus, semiclassical measures are A-invariant probability measures associated to sequences of high energy quantum states. In this letter, we show that the electroweak symmetry is restored at high temperature for Little Higgs (LH), when including dominant higher order thermal corrections, that are consequence of the non-linear nature of the scalar sector. Les entit\'es spatiales dans la langue : \'etude descriptive, formelle et exp\'erimentale de la cat\'egorisation
cs.CLMichel Aurnague, Maya Hickmann, Laure Vieu
While previous linguistic and psycholinguistic research on space has mainly analyzed spatial relations, the studies reported in this paper focus on how language distinguishes among spatial entities. Descriptive and experimental studies first propose a classification of entities, which accounts for both static and dynamic space, has some cross-linguistic vali

We show that simulations of polymer rheology at a fluctuating mesoscopic scale and at the macroscopic scale where flow instabilities occur can be achieved at the same time with dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) technique.} We model the visco-elasticity of polymer liquids by introducing a finite fraction of dumbbells in the standard DPD fluid. The stretchin
A non-coordinatizable sectionally complemented modular lattice with a large Jónsson four-frame
math.RAFriedrich Wehrung
A sectionally complemented modular lattice L is coordinatizable if it is isomorphic to the lattice L(R) of all principal right ideals of some von Neumann regular (not necessarily unital) ring R. We say that L has a large 4-frame if it has a homogeneous sequence (a_0,a_1,a_2,a_3) such that the neutral ideal generated by a_0 is L. Jónsson proved in 1962 that i
The dynamics of the flat anisotropic models in the Lovelock gravity. I: The even-dimensional case
gr-qcS. A. Pavluchenko
In this article we give a full description of the dynamics of the flat anisotropic (4+1)-dimensional cosmological model in the presence of both Gauss-Bonnet and Einstein contributions. This is the first complete description of this model with both terms taken into account. Our data is obtained using the numerical analysis, though, we use analytics to explain

We investigate three-body recombination loss across a Feshbach resonance in a gas of ultracold 7Li atoms prepared in the absolute ground state and perform a comparison with previously reported results of a different nuclear-spin state [N. Gross et.al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 103 163202, (2009)]. We extend the previously reported universality in three-body recombin

The implementation of Bayesian predictive procedures under standard normal models is considered. Two distributions are of particular interest, the K-prime and K-square distributions. They also give exact inferences for simple and multiple correlation coefficients. Their cumulative distribution functions can be expressed in terms of infinite series of multipl

The spin superfluidity -- superfluidity in the magnetic subsystem of a condensed matter - is manifested as the spontaneous phase-coherent precession of spins first discovered in 1984 in 3He-B. This superfluid current of spins - spin supercurrent - is one more representative of superfluid currents known or discussed in other systems, such as the superfluid cu
Identification of the critical temperature from non-equilibrium time-dependent quantities
cond-mat.stat-mechEugenio Lippiello, Alessandro Sarracino
We present a new procedure able to identify and measure the critical temperature. This method is based on the divergence of the relaxation time approaching the critical point in quenches from infinite temperature. We introduce a dimensionless quantity that turns out to be time-independent at the critical temperature. The procedure does not need equilibration

We consider a linear regression problem in a high dimensional setting where the number of covariates $p$ can be much larger than the sample size $n$. In such a situation, one often assumes sparsity of the regression vector, \textit i.e., the regression vector contains many zero components. We propose a Lasso-type estimator $\hatβ^{Quad}$ (where '$Quad$&#

We study the distribution of exoplanets around main sequence (MS) stars and apply our results to the binary model for the formation of extreme horizontal branch (EHB; sdO; sdB; hot subdwarfs) stars. By Binary model we refer both to stellar and substellar companions that enhance the mass loss rate, where substellar companions stand for both massive planets an

This paper closely examines theoretical and practical aspects of the widely used discounted cash flows (DCF) valuation method. It assesses its potentials as well as several weaknesses. A special emphasize is being put on the valuation of companies using the DCF method. The paper finds that the discounted cash flow method is a powerful tool to analyze even co
High level of $^3$He polarization of 81\% Maintained in an on-beam $^3$He spin filter using SEOP

Maintaining high levels of 3He polarization over long periods of time is important to many areas of fundamental and particle beam physics. Long measurement times are often required in such experiments and the data quality is a function of the 3He polarization. This is the case for neutron scattering where the 3He can be used to analyze the spin of a scattere
